Acculabs Diagnostics raised over £860 for BBC Children in Need through a team-led raffle and bake sale, supporting children and young people across the UK.
At Acculabs Diagnostics, we believe in making a difference- not just through our commitment to advancing healthcare- but through our commitment to support our communities. That’s why this year we came together as a team to raise money for BBC Children In Need.
This wasn’t just about raising money, it was about our team coming together and giving back to the people who need it most- we couldn’t be any more proud.
A Community Effort
Within the first days of planning it was clear the support for this event would be overwhelming. Our staff donated raffle prizes, purchased raffle tickets, and put their aprons on for the bake sale. The team spirit was incredible, everyone really stepped up to help- it really displayed the kind of community we’d created at Acculabs.
One of the biggest highlights was the generosity of businesses that donated raffle prizes. We were able to offer such a fantastic array of prizes thanks to the support of companies like Costa, Abbott Lyon, Weleda, Active Reality, and so many more. Their contributions helped make the raffle such a success, providing something for everyone, from restaurant vouchers to unique experiences.
The Main Event
Our raffle and bake sale took place on 11th November at Wynyard Business Park Our staff got creative with their baking skills, with everything from Kinder Bueno cheesecakes to Biscoff rocky-road- making it impossible to resist. We wouldn’t have reached the donations that we did if it wasn’t for the generosity and enthusiasm of our staff- thank you everyone.
Every raffle ticket sold meant more money was going to children who face the toughest challenges. The excitement of the draw brought some friendly competition (and a little bit of jealousy) to the business park.
Why We Support BBC Children In Need
As part of our ongoing commitment to social responsibility, this fundraiser was especially important to us. BBC Children In Need work tirelessly to support disadvantaged children across the UK, providing them with the resources to build a brighter future. Whether its through funding mental health support, providing aid for those in poverty, or improving opportunities for those facing inequality, every penny we have raised will go directly to helping children in need.
We believe it’s essential as a business to give back to the community, we are so proud of our team for the efforts they’ve made in making this event a success. The money will raised will make a real difference.
